Phi Mu was originally founded as a literary society and believes that the most important aspect of college is academics. As a result, Beta Tau is committed to helping our members excel in this area. Phi Mu has two Academic Excellence Chairmen who are dedicated exclusively to meeting the needs of individual members. From study groups to academic mentoring, Phi Mu provides support to encourage members to flourish throughout their collegiate years.
Each chapter is required to set an academic goal as part of its chapter plan. Our gpa requirement is the highest on campus with other organizations only requiring a 2.5. In order to be in good standing in our chapter, sisters are expected to maintain a 2.75 GPA or higher. Beta Tau has consistently achieved grades above the campus all-women's average.
Collectively as a chapter, Beta Tau annually hosts Stephanie Ross and Alana Maddox fundraisers. Both in hopes of remembering our fallen sisters, raising money and awareness, Drexel Greek Life students are eligible to apply. These scholarships are meant for helping and connecting with fellow brothers and sisters.
As a chapter, Beta Tau recognizes the outstanding sisters who are awarded with Dean's List every term. Congratulations to the following sisters who were awarded 2018 Winter Term Dean's List!
